Government to Close down Pastor Bugingo’s Church as Communications Commission investigates his Salt Media.

The Minister of Ethics and Integrity,Father Simon Lokodo has revealed that Government is considering closing down controversial preacher, Aloysius Bugiingo’s church known as House of Prayer Ministries located in Makerere-Kikoni Kampala central Uganda.

Lokodo made the pronouncement in a media interview with journalists at Parliament on July 17,2019 in which he described Bugiingo as a fake pastor who isn’t fit to spread the word of God because his own life is devil infested.

Bugiingo was thrown in lime light when video circulated on internet showing in mocking his wife (Teddy Naluswa ) for suffering from bleeding for ten years, an illness Bugiingo said denied him an opportunity to enjoy conjugal rights for a decade, saying a woman bleeding for such a long time does not deserve to be anybody’s wife.

Lokodo said that he has  powers to close the church but further investigations is being done in order to get enough reason for that church to be closed ,adding that  already the church is going to be closed because the faithful is going to walk away from it.

He said that the investigations are going to be expedited because it is the outcry of the people and the closure would act as a warning to other preachers not to dupe Ugandans.

Lokodo said that it is not the first time Bugiingo is using his church to make controversial remarks and that he has persistently manifested a wrong un-pastoral character that has made many people to conclude that he isn’t a pastor but rather a self-proclaimed pastor because he wouldn’t be making those blunders.

The wandered how can pastor Bugiingo  go all the way as an exemplary leader moreover denounce his wife whom he  have lived with for more than 29years and bore off spring with that one all together is a great manifestation of his unsteadiness in the Ministry.

He said that not only did Bugiingo made a mistake of divorcing his wife but he went ahead to undress his wife in public by disclosing what status she was in.

UCC picks interest to investigate Bugingo’s Salt Media Content.

The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) says it has received complaints from concerned citizens about the nature and broadcast content on salt TV.

Complainants allege that Salt Media has been airing abusive content that violets established standards, directed towards Teddy Naluswa.

Bugingo is apparently in high-gear preparations of wedding his salt media worker Suzan Makula.

Stella Nyanzi Sent back to Luzira Prison. Accused of Cyber Harassment against President Museveni and His Late Mother.

UGANDA – Buganda Road court has set 1st August 2019 to decide the fate of Makerere University Researcher Dr. Stella Nyanzi, accused of cyber harassment and offensive communication against President Museveni and his Late Mother Esteeri Kokundeka who died in 2001.

Grade One Magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu who has been trying Nyanzi, set the Judgement after rejecting her request to advertise in the newspapers calling for  witnesses to volunteer and testify in her defence.

Magistrate Kamasanyu said she had given Nyanzi and her Lawyer Isaac Ssemakadde  enough time to prepare their defence case, which they have  failed to do  since 26th/June when the Court ruled that Nyanzi had a case of Computor Misuse to answer.

Magistrate Kamasanyu has now closed Nyanzi’s defense case with Nyanzi mantaining that she will remain silent and leave court to decide the case basing on the Prosecution evidence.

Nyanzi has been sent back on remand at Luzira prison where she has stayed since October last year after denying the offence and refusing bail.

Public University Students’ Leaders run to court against Uganda Revenue Authority’s move to Collect Tuition.

Students’ leaders from public universities around Uganda are dragging government and Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) to court over the new move by the tax body to collect tuition on behalf of the universities.

While addressing a joint press conference in Kampala on July 15,2019, the guild presidents from public universities say, the move will cripple service delivery in the institutions.

Julius Katerega, the Makerere University guild president notes that the money they pay to the universities is paid for a particular service which is education, hence should not be collected by URA.

The move to drag govt and URA to court through their lawyers, Kiiza and Mugisha advocates seek an injunction on the new move to have all tuition collected by URA.
The guild president Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Tusingwire Ramulus views the new move as one of the ploys by the govt to siphon powers of the university institutions which will in the long run cause delays in services delivery at Universities.

Dots should be connected that majority of guild presidents subscribe to Bobi Wine-led People Power movement, an opposition wing in Uganda.
